OMG! I cant believe my baby is already 4 months!! We went to his check-up on Monday and he weighs almost 15 lbs and is 25 inches long! The dr. told me to go ahead and start feeding him cereal for a couple of weeks then gradually work in baby food b/c he eats like a champ! Here are some pictures of our first cereal experience...soooo cute!

Stressful Craziness

A lot has been going on since I last updated! First of all, we had a great 4th of July...We hung out with Abby and her hubby Danny and almost blew up the neighborhood! It was a blast!

Josh went back to work @ a dealership on July 1st and let me tell you it has taken some major adjusting! Josh had been working from home since Briley was about 16/17 months so he was here to help out a lot and I had never been alone a whole lot all day long with the 2 kids since Brody had been born. And the first 2 weeks were HORRIBLE!!! Briley embarrassed me sooo bad one day out in public throwing herself in the floor and throwing temper tantrums I said I would never leave the house again!!! My mom offered to take her with them to AL last weekend and visit my grandparents and after the couple of weeks I had I said please take her! I was very relieved to have that break but I was sad too b/c she has never been anywhere by herself without us for the whole weekend. But it worked out perfectly b/c she had a little cousin the same age as her that was visiting my grandparents also so she had a playmate, I got the house spotless and organized some stuff for vacation, and did a little shopping (which was soooo much easier with 1 child)! This week has been going a lot better and I hope it stays that way!

Now we are just counting down the days till vacation in DESTIN!! We are sooo anxious and we are going to leave about 4 am on Sat. so we are excited about that. Im sure I will have plenty of pictures and fun stories from our trip when I get back!

LOL...Mom bought the kids matching outfits for the 4th and on Sunday we took some cute pics of them to send to my grandmother so she would get them by the 4th. Brody is sooo photogentic...you can get him to smile @ the drop of a dime. And after looking @ the pics we took of Briley by herself I cant believe how grown she looks!!! Hope you enjoy the pics.

Summer Distractions

Wow! We have been busy and I havent really had the time to post a new blog. We have been having a blast this summer. Josh is just working in Johnson City on most weekends (but he has been home a few) and we have been swimming and doing fun stuff during the week while he is home! Briley is our little fish and LOVES to go swimming and wants to go EVERY DAY. She looks like a little mexican. Brody is such a sweet little guy...he is just a happy little baby. Josh is going to make a decision on which of the many job offers he has on what to do next week. He has been waiting it out to see if the bank he was working for could get everything worked out by July (which is what they originally told him) and now they are saying mid-August. So in the meantime he is going to take a job soon. The best opportunity is unfortunately in Johnson City so he may do that and just travel back and forth for a few months and then decide if it is the best opportunity for our family, but there are some considerations that are local. We will def. think this through for a while before we make any final decisions. Well Im off to get ready for my MNO wine-tasting....so excited for a night out with the girls. Here are a few pics Ive taken over the last little while.

Productive Day!

Ok this is Josh's first weekend working out of town so I have decided to be productive to keep myself busy b/c I cant stand being home by myself. I cleaned the house spotless today, did tons of laundry, and organized some stuff. Even after doing all that I found some time to do some fun things with Briley...we played outside, ate ice cream twice, painted our toenails and watch the Bee movie! It was a pretty fun day :)

We had such a wonderful time but the trip was def. too short! Thank God we are going to Destin for 8 days in July so we have that to look forward too :) The kids were wonderful in the car on the way there and back so that was a relief. We got to see a lot of our family that we rarely get to see and Briley enjoyed playing with her cousins. Brody was such a trooper for being so young @ the beach. Enjoy the few pics I took..I couldnt take many b/c I lost my main memory card :(

We are off to Gulf Shores for Memorial Day weekend tommorrow!!! I cant wait...Briley is going to LOVE the beach. Keep an eye out for pictures next week :)

Bad News!

As many of you know the company Josh was working for is having funding issues so they let everyone in the company go but their 3 main people. All I have to say is THANK GOD we are good at saving money so we dont have to worry about jumping into something RIGHT NOW. Josh will be able to take his time and hopefully find a job that he really WANTS. For now he will just work on Sat. and Sun. at a dealership his friend runs just for a little extra money. It sucks but hey you have to take risks to ever move up in this world. Everything will be okay!

2 months ALREADY!

Wow! I cant believe my baby boy is already 2 months. Everyone says that time will fly with each additional child and it is soo true! Brody is changing so much...he is such a good, happy baby. We went for his 2 month checkup today and he is almost 12 lbs and 23 inches long so he is growing fast! He is also smiling and cooing at us like crazy and it just melts my heart. He is a good sleeper just like his sister and is giving us at least a 6-7 hour stretch every night and the past few nights he has even gone 8 hours! Wahoo :) Briley has really adjusted well, she loves her little brother soo much but sometimes she just doesnt realize how fragile he is! She will love him to pieces when he can sit up and play with her. I am so blessed with these 2 joyful children!

What a wonderful MD weekend!

What better way than to start out my blog bragging on my wonderful hubby! This Mother's day weekend has been totally awesome and far exceeded my expectations. First, Friday he took Briley out with him to run some errands and they came back with a new camera (which I was thrilled about since I broke mine 3 days prior :() and a gift certificate to a day spa (woot, woot!). Then Friday night we took Briley to play and to get ice cream. Saturday my parents came over and we went to dinner @ Mimi's to celebrate Mother's Day for me and my mom and we had our babysitter watch the kids Saturday night so we could go out with my parents (which we never get to do b/c they are always the babysitters) to a sports bar for some karoake. Sunday I was pleasantly suprised when hubby let me sleep in and him and Briley brought me a big pancake breakfast in bed! Ok those of you that dont know my hubby...he DOES NOT cook! He then took care of the kids ALL day and did absolutely EVERYTHING while I went and met my mom to watch a movie this afternoon and when I returned home he had made dinner! He truly is the best husband I could have ever wished for! I am sooo thankful to have 2 wonderful children to call me mommy!
